Responsibilities
a. Monthly Financial Reporting
- Submission of monthly financial reporting in Cognos Controller and related reporting within group timeline
- Perform month-end closing procedures, including overhead allocations, account reconciliations, and updating closing schedules
- Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period
b. Finance Management
Supervision of finance department staffEnsure that all financial transactions are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesManage, oversee, process (as appropriate), and act as backup for processing all the following transactions : payroll, accounts payable, revenue and expense, fixed assets, cash, bank reconciliations, and allocationsc. Working Capital Management
Overseeing monthly working capital position as per yearly KPI – Cash, Inventory, Debtors and CreditorsOverseeing debtor management by ensuring debts are monitored and collected as per payment terms, providing bad debt provisions following group policyOversee monthly inventory reports, analysis, and allocation of adequate obsolete provision as per group policyEnsure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational needsd. Costing
Oversee monthly variance analysis prepared within the agreed submission deadlineProvide costing analyses as needed for margin optimisation, pricing decisions, and cost savinge. Annual Financial and Cost Budget
Develop and manage annual financial budgets that are in line with the organization’s financial targetsDevelop cost budgets for yearly standard product costing in costing systemf. Asset Management
Oversee company assets for both current and non-currentMonitor and track capital purchases for timely asset capitalization, recording asset acquisitions and disposals, useful life and depreciation charges, and maintaining internal and tax books for fixed assetsPerform physical asset verification on yearly basisg. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirementsLiaise with internal and external auditors in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirementsCoordinate tax compliance and dealings with tax agents including corporate income tax, Sales and service tax, transfer pricing documentation and other tax-related mattersLiaise with bankers, lawyers and other external consultants and relevant government authoritiesh.
