Assistant Accountant

Penerangan pekerjaanPreparation of bank / credit card, intercompany, finance lease reconciliations Maintenance of fixed assets, depreciation and expense amortisation schedules Foreign exchange remeasurement Variance analysis Ensure all company transactions are recorded accurately and promptly Support tax compliance activities Process payments in a timely and efficient manner Assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasts Handle multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange remeasurement process Provide timely and accurate financial information to support informed business decisions Support the statutory audit process for entities within the region, serving as a point of contact for external auditors Assist with other compliance matters which may arise Assist other business departments with accounting issues and queries as needed Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Working towards a CPA or equivalent international certification (e.g., ACCA) is highly preferred 3+ years of experience in a similar role, including handling financial reporting and month-end close activities Experience supporting change and process improvements; ability to contribute in group discussions Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other Asian languages is an advantage Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, FloQast, Coupa, and Workday (Desirable) Ability to work independently and within a flexible team environment Attention to detail and numerical precision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced computer skills, including strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft-based applications Seniority level : Mid-Senior level Employment type : Full-time Job function : Accounting / Auditing and Finance Industries : Software Development
Overview
Assistant Accountant role at Veeam Software, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The position supports business growth and expansion across the Asia Pacific and Japan region. This full-time role provides an opportunity to apply accounting knowledge, broaden responsibilities, and collaborate with an experienced, agile team.

- Prepare financial reports for multiple entities in the APJ region
- Complete month-end activities, including :
