Key Account Manager
Key Responsibilities :
1. Account Management & Business Growth
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize sales, profitability, and market share within Watsons Malaysia.
- Identify new business opportunities, including product expansion, promotions, and distribution improvements.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and provide actionable insights to drive revenue growth.
- Negotiate trade terms, contracts, and promotional agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
2. Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for Watsons Malaysia, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders (buyers, merchandisers, marketing teams).Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure alignment with Watsons' requirements.Resolve any business issues (e.g., supply chain delays, claims, disputes) promptly and professionally.3. Trade Marketing & Promotions
Work closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute effective trade promotions, in-store activations, and merchandising strategies.Ensure compliance with Watsons' promotional guidelines and optimize shelf visibility for company products.Track and evaluate promotional performance, providing post-campaign analysis and recommendations.4. Forecasting & Inventory Management
Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing out-of-stock situations and excess inventory.Provide accurate sales forecasts and demand planning inputs to support business objectives.5. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare regular sales reports, business reviews, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Monitor competitor activities and market trends, recommending strategies to maintain a competitive edge.Qualifications & Requirements :
Education :Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Experience :Minimum 3-4 years of experience in key account management, preferably in FMCG, health, or beauty industries.Proven track record of managing large retail accounts (experience with Watsons, Guardian, Sephora or similar chains is a plus).Skills :Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Excel).Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Proficiency in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
