The Public Relations (PR) Manager is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that enhance the organization's public image, strengthen brand awareness, and build positive relationships with media, stakeholders, and the community. This role involves managing press relations, handling crisis communication, and ensuring consistent messaging across all communication platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement effective PR campaigns aligned with business goals.
- Develop and implement SOPs between staff and the production of media content to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Manage and coordinate influencer review campaigns to support brand visibility.
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers while ensuring brand messages are delivered effectively.
Ads Management
Plan, manage, and optimize paid ads campaigns across social media platforms to support PR initiatives.Align ad strategies with brand reputation goals and promotional activities.Monitor performance analytics to ensure effective audience reach and engagementScouting
Scout and evaluate influencers, affiliates, and potential partners for collaboration.Negotiate and coordinate partnership terms to align with campaign objectives.Maintain a database of scouted talents and monitor their performance / engagement.Media Relations
Solid understanding of social media requirements, and the ability to handle and attend to social media platforms effectively.Draft press releases and company statements before handing over to social media PICCoordinate and attend to reviews, and marketing related events.Content & Communication
Oversee the creation of engaging media content for website, newsletters, and social media.Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all channels.Event Management
Plan and manage promotional events, sponsorships, and community engagement related activities.Represent the organization at industry functions and networking events.Crisis Management / Damage Control
Develop crisis communication plans and act as spokesperson when required.Manage sensitive issues to protect the company's reputation, especially on social media platforms.Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor PR executives or coordinators (if applicable).Collaborate with marketing on communication initiatives.Monitoring & Reporting
Track media coverage, public sentiment, and campaign performance.Prepare regular PR reports for management with insights and recommendations.Monitor and evaluate influencer content and engagement for campaign improvement.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.Proven experience in public relations or corporate communications (managerial level preferred).Strong media contacts and excellent networking skills.Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.Skilled in crisis management and conflict resolution.Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.Familiarity with digital PR tools, media monitoring, and social media platforms.
