Environmental Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) & Scrubber performance monitoring activities for all unit processes and operations.
• Operate and maintain IETS & Scrubber equipment and ensure proper calibration.
• Carry out daily IETS & Scrubber activities such as chemical dosing, sludge handling, cleaning, calibration and equipment operation.
• Ensure operation parameters are within control and specifications (pH, turbidity, pressure gauge reading, flow rate, etc.).
• Conduct laboratory tests on water samples to monitor wastewater quality and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain detailed daily records of wastewater treatment & scrubber activities, including equipment maintenance logs, and regulatory compliance records.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, power outages, and wastewater parameter issues.
• Schedule waste management including 5S, waste code labelling & storage.
• Ensure compliance and performance monitoring parameters meet DOE regulations.
• Monitor and maintain consumable stock levels.
• Adhere to health and safety rules and company work procedures.
• Maintain good manufacturing practice, cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace.
• Any other duties assigned by superior.
