We are hiring

We are looking for a highly qualified Legal Counsel to provide legal advice and support to the company’s management and business units to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, advising on regulatory and corporate governance matters, and supporting the company in managing legal risks.

About the job

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Identify and evaluate legal issues arising from commitments made by the company and advise and formulate appropriate resolutions.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and compliance issues.
• Support the company in corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder matters, and regulatory filings.
• Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies in line with applicable laws and company policies.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments (including AMLA, PDPA, Companies Act, Financial Services Act, etc.) and ensure business compliance.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and government authorities when required.
• Assist with possible mergers, acquisitions and formation of business entities within the jurisdiction and other markets for business expansion.
• Assist in managing litigation, disputes, or investigations, including coordination with external lawyers.
• Develop and implement internal policies, templates, and training programs to promote legal awareness within the company.
• Maintain proper documentation and legal records.
