Straits International School opened its doors in Oct 2018, and it currently offers high quality Cambridge education for Early Years, Primary and Secondary students in a well-equipped, purpose-built campus located at Taman Sari Rawang. The Primary Teacher will deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum. They will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, monitoring student progress, and contributing to the wider life of the school community. ISP Principles

Teaching & Learning

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the Cambridge Primary curriculum. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents. Maintain a stimulating and well-organised classroom environment that supports learning. Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to meet the needs of all learners. Classroom Management and Student Wellbeing

Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere that fosters student learning and personal development. Implement effective behaviour management in line with school policies. Support both the academic and emotional wellbeing of students. Professional Responsibilities

Collaborate with colleagues in planning and sharing best practices. Communicate regularly with parents, maintaining open and supportive dialogue. Participate in school events, activities, and meetings as required. Uphold the values, ethos, and policies of the school at all times. Requirements – Skills, Qualifications and Experience

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent). Experience teaching the Cambridge Primary curriculum is highly desirable. Strong classroom management and effective communication skills. A growth mindset, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous professional development. Ability to inspire and challenge learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Able to commence in January 2026. ISP Commitment
