Overview

AWS Cloud Architect at Hilti Group is responsible for designing, delivering and supporting scalable, secure and efficient cloud solutions. In collaboration with Global IT and other teams, you shape Hilti’s cloud technology ecosystem, advance architecture maturity, and lead in architecting strategic solutions. What you will do

Part of the architecture team with a focus on AWS cloud, implementing our cloud strategy and translating business requirements into cloud solutions. Set governance and oversight standards for other technology departments. Leverage Event Driven Architecture and Microservices; have deep understanding of databases; manage multi-cloud and hybrid network complexities. Collaborate with global teams, contributing to a vibrant, innovative and productive environment. What you need

At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience in AWS architecture. Proven track record delivering transformation and innovation projects at large scale. Deep knowledge of cloud computing and networking concepts as they apply to cloud environments. Experience designing cost-optimized, complex event-driven asynchronous solutions using services such as EventBridge, Event Bus, SQS, SNS, Lambda, etc. Experience designing applications with different databases (SQL, NoSQL). Experience with AWS SDK in languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Comprehensive expertise in cloud security (IAM, data protection, secure internet protocols, encryption). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with AI in AWS (e.g., Amazon Q) is a plus. Why Hilti
