Merchant Acquiring Account Executive

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential merchants through market research, referrals, cold calling, and networking.
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations to showcase the benefits of our payment acquiring solution.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing merchants.
  • Address client inquiries and objections effectively.
  • Prepare proposals outlining the features, benefits, and pricing for merchants.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with merchants to ensure mutual benefit for both the merchant and the Bank.
  • Maintain and follow up on any potential pipeline from various sources.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.

  • Good customer service and relationship management experience
  • Ability to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT and systems knowledge
  • Intimate knowledge of an organisation’s computing systems
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to work on weekends and / or after hours
  • Proficiency on Microsoft Excel. Ability to write SQL, JAVA, Python and R would be a plus.
  • Good project management skills with effective results focus on business

    • Education / Knowledge

  • Diploma / Degree in any fields
  • Good business knowledge, understanding of a variety of business practices and familiarity with the banking industry, especially merchant acquiring
  • Basic understanding of the evolving digital world on both the demand side (how people / organisations are using technology) and the supply side (emerging technologies).
  • Familiar with a variety of innovative project concepts, practices and procedures.
