Assistant Inspector, Quality Control

The primary role of the Manufacturing Quality function is to design, implement, and monitor quality control programs. Key deliverables include, but are not limited to, recommending changes to methods, procedures, and standards to improve the quality of output based on analysis of data and systems. Ensures products are built correctly to specifications, quality standards, and appropriate regulatory compliance. Reports defects and tracks them until resolution.

The primary objective of the Quality Control specialization within the Manufacturing Quality Job Family is to perform inspections, check testing, and sampling procedures for product manufacturing processes.

Carry out manufacturing line inspections, sampling, and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure that company standards are met.

May draft procedures and assist with validating or troubleshooting testing methods.

Apply approval or rejection labels to raw materials and finished goods.

Involved in the management of non-conforming products and the release of conforming finished goods.

Support roles consist of work in clerical, administrative, or specialized support tasks in an office or field setting, specialized technical tasks or skilled craft work, and unskilled or semi-skilled operational tasks.

Has completed vocational training or obtained equivalent experience.

Might interact internally to exchange information.

Has no discretion to vary from established procedures.
