2H Offshore is hiring a full-time, permanent Lead Mechanical Design Engineer. This Kuala Lumpur-based role supports MENCK, another Acteon subsidiary in developing its Mechanical Design capabilities across the Asia region.

As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will ensure MENCK’s vision, values, and objectives are reflected in every project. You will follow established processes, uphold design guidelines, and deliver error-free drawings and designs. Meeting deadlines and staying within budget are key, alongside ensuring compliance with safety regulations, legal requirements, and industry standards. Acting as a crucial link between the specialist group and the Team Manager Engineering, you will also have the authority to provide guidance to the team as delegated by the manager.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Independent design of assemblies for our breaker systems (hydraulic breakers packs, winches and corresponding components for development and customer projects)
• Review and approval of production and assembly drawings
• Independent development of solution proposals and technical concepts for innovation ideas
• Supporting international customers and suppliers as well as internal departments
• Optimisation and improvement of existing equipment
• Co-design and continuous improvement of development processes
• Occasional supervision of technically demanding assignments both onshore and

offshore
