Senior Chemist

About the role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist to join our dynamic team at Ridgemonde Chemicals & Resins Sdn. Bhd. in Sek 23 Shah Alam, Selangor. As a full-time Senior Chemist, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, ensuring product quality, and supporting the company's strategic objectives within the Chemistry & Physics industry.

What you'll be doing

Conducting advanced chemical analyses and research to develop new products, improve existing formulations, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes

Designing and executing experiments to test hypotheses and validate new chemical processes or product ideas

Analysing data, interpreting results, and presenting findings to key stakeholders

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical challenges

Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards

Mentoring and training junior members of the research and development team

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices within the Chemistry & physics industry

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry

Proven track record of successful chemical research and development projects

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and innovatively

Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively

Proficient in the use of analytical equipment and scientific software

Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety

Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across different departments
