Receive and check all delivered materials against delivery orders and purchase requests.Inspect materials for quantity and quality before acceptance.Report any damaged or incorrect deliveries to the Site Supervisor or Procurement team.Organize and maintain materials in a secure, clean, and accessible storage area.Ensure materials (cement, sand, tiles, paint, timber, etc.) are stored according to safety and quality requirements.Implement proper labelling and segregation to prevent mix-ups.3. Material Issuance & Tracking
- Issue materials to site workers based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate daily records of materials issued, returned, or transferred.
- Monitor material usage to avoid loss, misuse, or wastage.
4. Inventory Management
- Keep updated inventory logs (manual or digital).
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with site records.
- Notify the Site Supervisor when stock levels are low or replenishment is needed.
- Managing warehouse inventory issues, included receiving variance, warehouse location, disposal of non-moving.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all material transactions (delivery orders, material request forms, etc.).
- Prepare daily or weekly material reports for the Project Manager.
- Support audit and cost control processes by providing updated material data.
6. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with Procurement and Site Teams for timely delivery and usage of materials.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and transporters regarding delivery schedules.
- Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
7. Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure proper handling of materials to avoid damage and accidents.
- Keep the material storage area clean and organized.
- Follow all site safety and environmental procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Construction, Logistics, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing and preferably in residential or building construction.
- Basic understanding of common building materials (cement, steel, bricks, plumbing, electrical fittings, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or simple inventory tracking systems (ERP or SAP system).
- Strong organization, record-keeping, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and responsibly at the construction
