We will expand our activities to Sendayan Tech Valley, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where we will start up a new Aircraft Engine Service Center.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Station Manager to lead the operations of our new Aircraft Engine Service Center in Sendayan Tech Valley, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role is pivotal in establishing and managing a state-of-the-art facility focused on engine redelivery, recertification, preservation, and storage services for a range of aircraft engines. The Station Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a collaborative partnership environment with key stakeholders. This position reports to senior management and involves hosting and leading local headcount to deliver high-quality services in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Service Center, including engine redelivery inspections, repairs, recertification (to EASA, FAA, CAAM and UK CAA standards), preservation, and storage of engines and engine stands. Ensure services are delivered at fixed prices as per agreed appendices and forecasted volumes.
Manage the facility, including maintenance, upkeep, cleaning, utilities, and security. Coordinate access for storage, inspections, and office space usage while ensuring the facility supports CAAM, EASA, FAA, and CAA approvals.
Secure and maintain necessary approvals from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to operate as an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) entity. Handle all tax and duty exemptions for importing / exporting engines and parts, manage customs clearance activities, and act as the importer / exporter.
Recruit, train, and manage local headcount, including technicians, engineers, and support staff. Ensure compliance with local tax filing, national insurance, and pension contributions. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Collaborate with RRPF Malaysia to manage engine throughput, approve third-party work capacity, and ensure partnership fees are applied as per agreed terms.
Manage the leasing and maintenance of tooling, ensuring calibration, load testing, and upkeep are performed responsibly.
Track service delivery against forecasted volumes (e.g., for engine types such as Rolls-Royce Trent 700, Trent 1000, Trent 7000, Trent XWB, IAE V2500, IAE PW1100, CFMI CFM56, and CFMI LEAP). Adjust timelines in good faith for delays due to regulatory or external factors.
Subject to approvals, facilitate services to third parties while adhering to capacity, pricing, fee, and KYC conditions.
: Prepare reports on operations, compliance, and performance. Identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure alignment with the overall partnership structure.
Qualifications and Experience
Master's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications in aviation maintenance or management (e.g., AME license or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Minimum of 8-10 years in aviation MRO operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role focused on aircraft engines. Proven track record in setting up or managing engine service facilities, including redelivery, recertification, and storage processes.
: Strong understanding of engine types (e.g., Rolls-Royce Trent, IAE, CFMI) and services such as inspections, repairs, and preservation. Familiarity with international aviation regulations (CAAM, EASA, FAA, CAA) and Malaysian customs / tax exemptions.
: Excellent leadership and team management abilities; proficient in project management, budgeting, and risk assessment; strong communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder collaboration. Knowledge of insurance requirements in the aviation industry is essential.
Willingness to relocate to or work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Fluency in English; proficiency in Malay or other local languages is a plus. Ability to handle confidential information and act in good faith per partnership agreements.
