At Lion Property Division, we are looking for a dedicated and proactive Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Officer to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant worksite throughout our development projects. Vacancy : One (1) vacant position based in Project Banting site office.
This role is key in enforcing SHE regulations, conducting inspections, mitigating workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) conditions. You will also be responsible for implementing effective safety and environmental controls, raising awareness among workers, and minimizing risks to both personnel and the surrounding environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and risks.
- Implement and enforce site safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for workers and contractors.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor site conditions.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities (e.g., DOSH, CIDB) for safety approvals and inspections.
- Monitor workplace conditions to prevent occupational illnesses and health hazards.
- Ensure compliance with EIA approval conditions and Department of Environment (DOE) regulations.
- Monitor environmental parameters such as air, water, noise, and vibration levels.
- Implement erosion and sediment control measures (ESCP) to prevent environmental pollution.
- Oversee waste management initiatives, including scheduled waste disposal and recycling programs.
- Coordinate with environmental consultants and regulatory bodies for compliance reporting.
- Maintain and update SHE documentation, permits, and reports as per regulatory requirements.
- Act as the main liaison between the company, contractors, and regulatory agencies on SHE matters.
Qualifications
Educational Background : Bachelor’s Degree, Post-Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Occupational Safety & Health , Environmental Science , or a related field.Experience : Ideally in the construction / property development industry.Benefits
