Data and Automation Analyst

Team : Pricing & Purchasing, Global Insight

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data and Automation Analyst to join our dynamic global team. This role is critical in supporting our economists in the Pricing & Purchasing team by enhancing the quality, efficiency, and impact of our client-facing deliverables and internal processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of analytical acumen, technical proficiency, and a proactive mindset to drive process improvement and automation initiatives. You will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence and optimizing workflows to boost team productivity.

Responsibilities

• Client Deliverable & Presentation Support
• Assist a global team of industry economists in producing high-quality client deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the generation of actionable insights.
• Support the creation and refinement of compelling presentations using PowerPoint, synthesizing complex data and economic narratives for diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
• Collaborate with team members to visualize data effectively, creating clear and impactful charts, graphs, and infographics.
• Data Modeling & Integrity
• Maintain, update, and validate complex economic or financial models, primarily in Excel, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and robust version control.
• Perform data analysis on large, transactional datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and key performance metrics.
• Develop and implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy of data used in all analyses and models.
• Automation & Process Optimization
• Identify, design, and implement automation solutions using Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy), VBA, and other tools to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting.
• Analyze existing business processes, identify opportunities for automation, and assess the feasibility and potential for new initiatives.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of automation projects, from initial concept and design through to deployment, training, and maintenance.
• Analytics, Reporting & Insights
• Provide analytical support and insights to enhance the team\'s productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau to track key metrics and provide self-service analytics to stakeholders.
• Utilize data harvesting, data science, and advanced analytics skills to transform raw data from various sources into actionable intelligence.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
• Collaborate across global teams to identify areas for process improvement, innovation, and the adoption of best practices in data analytics and automation.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop efficient data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.
• Communicate findings, project status, and technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
