The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing IFRS17 tasks, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and actuarial support, with day-to-day technical and managerial guidance to the Actuarial workstream. The role requires leadership in local IFRS17 solution enhancements and collaboration with the group office and local actuarial modelling team.

Responsibilities

• To perform and be able to explain the key drivers for IFRS17 planning, budgeting and forecasting work within the agreed timeline.
• To review and optimize the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Strengthen control to prevent process reruns.
• To perform IFRS17 financial impact assessment for annual assumption review, expense study and etc.
• To ensure IFRS17 reports are produced with accurate results and to provide day-to-day technical and managerial guidance to the Actuarial workstream.
• To lead the local implementation of IFRS17 solution enhancements / Day 2 items and actuarial model enhancement, collaborating with group office and local actuarial modelling team.
• To support on other projects e.g. actuarial related components for BNM Insurance and Takaful System Redevelopment (ITSR) and etc.
• To ensure proper SOP documentation.
• To build the capacity and experience of the team through training of junior team members.
