Overview

Senior Specialist, Network Security – U Mobile, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Role involves developing secure network architecture and roadmap to protect U Mobile network infrastructure and data, adopting a Security-by-design approach. Works closely with engineering teams to design and implement security solutions for U Mobile network and wholesale services.

Responsibilities

• Custodian of mid-term network strategy and architecture for network security
• Develop network security solutions with a design-first approach
• Track and study new / emerging network security technologies and industry trends; translate them into business relevance for UM adoption
• Collaborate with U Mobile ISD security team to develop and maintain security frameworks, guidelines, and best practices for mobile application development and deployment
• Represent network security inputs for overall corporate security policy
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate security requirements and foster a security-aware culture
• Represent U Mobile in strategic network security forums with industry and regulatory bodies
• Engage with network wholesale customers to discuss and negotiate security solutions addressing challenges and vulnerabilities
• Lead RFP / RFQ for new network security solutions
• Provide network security strategy to support yearly budget planning (AOP)
