• Role and responsibilities
• Create and maintain the processes for new part / components creation.
• Create, maintain, and manage (new and existing) product bills of materials and product configurations including manufacturing routings, and configuration segments and rules.
• Ensure all parts contained in the manufacturing BOM are correctly set up and structured in the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system.
• Analyse change requests within the BOM and configuration in accordance with the requested change.
• Maintains BOMs and configurations to capture engineering change documentation.
• Support and drive BOM Master data by ensuring all data is available, accessible, accurate and consistency in the ERP system.
• Management of MRP data relating to parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies by keeping the details up to date, processing changes derived from engineering changes.
• Manage the configuration change management process for product designs and monitor engineering changes to assess impact on the manufacturing BOM.
• Work closely with the engineering teams throughout the product development process.
• Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
• Preferred work experience from high level assembly industry or contract manufacturing industry or Semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge in mechanical design and concepts.
• Strong knowledge in ERP system data and process management.
• Strong knowledge in BOM control and understanding of change management processes.
• Knowledge and experience of PLM, Siemens Teamcenter systems and their implementation will be an added advantage.
• High level of competence with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive team player able to successfully cope with tight deadlines whilst ensuring quality of performance.
