Job Description

OVERVIEW

The incumbent is responsible as a Technology Engineer for end-to-end project / process implementation for machine automation, process automation, digitalization, electrical, control & instrumentations. Act as the overall coordinator for all internal & external engineering on projects as required. In this capacity is responsible for the successful design, implement, commission and hand-over of projects assigned by Project Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project management

Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.

Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases & elements reviewing bids from contractor.

Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer, requirements performance standards, completing technical studies, preparing cost estimates.

Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.

Determines project schedule and budget by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.

Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

Controls project plan by reviewing design, specification, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.

Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

Instill safety review in all aspects of the project (design, execution and handover)

All above to be followed strictly based on SOP and requirement established in Project Management Framework.

Process Improvement (C&I and Automation-related)

Acts as an internal consultant for location to lead, define & develop continuous improvement activities & redesign activities.

Responsible for the support & integration of continuous improvement efforts at the site which includes completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.

Plans & coordinates training to others who will support the execution of continuous improvement strategies and tools.

Leads problem-solving efforts to improve quality & eliminate waste / cost of poor performance at the each plant.

Functions as a process improvement expert regrading tasks, projects, and operations.

Other

Any other task / project assigned by your Superior or Management.

REQUIREMENTS

Education :

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical (Automation Major), Mechatronic, Automation & Robotic Engineering.

Work Experience :

Minimum 1-2 years working in electrical, control system and instrumentation engineering.

Preferred 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment.

Fresh graduates welcomed to apply.

Requirement’s analysis, Design Skills, Project Management, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills, Safety Management, Supervision, Documentation Skills, Safety Management, Supervision, CAD, CAD / CAM Circuit Design, Machine Vision, LabVIEW, PLC Programming (Fatek, Siemen, Omron), Control System, Automation.

Exposure to Digitalization programming (e.g. NodeRed), software / platforms (e.g. Grafana).

Proven ability to lead change and motivate at all levels within the organization and deliver business transformation results.
