Project Manager / Asst. Project Manager (Main Contractor)

Responsibilities

• Liaison with client and his representative on all project matters.
• Organize a project team, assign responsibilities to his supporting staff or personnel.
• Establish and control work according to plans.
• Monitor project implementation and conduct periodic review of subcontractors’ performance.
• Ensure safe construction procedures.
• Follow environmental guidelines and requirements.
• Ensure proper selection of materials and timely deliveries.
• Negotiate and settle all issues related to changes in contract after awards.
• Authorize and approve all works being performed by his staff.
• Variation order and contract finalization.
• Periodic technical and contractual reviews to ensure timely execution of work as per laid down standards.
• Initiate actions to keep the projects on schedule.
• Monitor and coordinate all engineering and procurement activities.
• Lead, coordinate and manage all site work activities.
• Preparation of progress report and submit it to client.
• Coordinate with other departments (contract / procurement and others) or any work-related issue and ordering.
• Resolve and report on unsolved issues affecting the progress of work to the superior.
• In charge of all issues related to site safety and security.
• Control of documentation of sub-contractor correspondence and issue of drawings.
• Issuance of site instruction to all subcontractors.
• Review and decide on actions necessary upon identification of non-conformance.
• Ensure site operations / work comply with local authorities’ guidelines and requirements.
• Execute instruction given or directed by his superior.

Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveyor or its equivalent

Knowledge & Job Specific Skills

Terms and Conditions of the Role

Required to work on weekends.

Need to travel from one site to another by own vehicle.
