Role Overview
The IT Transformation & Integration Manager – Japan & APAC will execute and support regional IT transformation initiatives. The focus is on IT infrastructure, network, and telecom integration, process standardization, and digital modernization across Japan and the wider APAC region. The role works closely with global IT, regional business units, and local country teams to ensure seamless adoption of new technologies, alignment to global standards, and delivery of measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior management to understand digital transformation goals and drive enablement.
- Create adoption plans for new digital technologies and outline steps for successful implementation.
- Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and resources to educate stakeholders.
- Maintain objectivity while steering the Digital Office strategic direction for Corporate IT.
- Drive service cost optimization through centralization, digitalization, and process improvement.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on digital initiatives.
- Develop change‑management strategies to address resistance and ensure smooth transition.
- Provide ongoing support to users navigating digital tools, addressing questions and concerns.
- Identify process optimization opportunities using digital technologies and streamline workflows.
- Leverage data to measure effectiveness of initiatives, identify improvement areas, and make informed decisions.
- Research emerging infrastructure technologies and best practices to drive innovation.
- Support delivery of regional IT transformation projects, including infrastructure, network, telecom upgrades, and AI‑driven initiatives.
- Contribute to legacy infrastructure migration to standardized, cloud‑enabled platforms.
- Execute cross‑country integration efforts in line with global IT architectures and coordinate with local teams.
- Manage small‑to‑medium IT projects from planning to delivery, including documentation, status updates, and risk assessments.
- Monitor CAPEX / OPEX budgets to ensure cost‑effective delivery.
- Ensure compliance with global cybersecurity standards, perform vendor risk assessments, and support audits.
- Act as liaison between global IT, regional stakeholders, and local operations teams for cross‑functional collaboration.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.5–8 years of professional IT experience, with exposure to infrastructure, network, or telecom transformation projects.Hands‑on experience with enterprise networks, telecom systems, and regional (APAC / Japan) IT operations preferred.Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of networking, telecom systems, enterprise infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure), automation tools, and IT monitoring solutions.Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).Soft Skills
Strong communication skills in English (business level); Japanese proficiency highly desirable.Excellent problem‑solving, time management, and cross‑cultural collaboration.Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.Advanced understanding and experience in digital technologies, IT industry environment, and change‑management expertise are essential. Proven success in leading digital transformation initiatives across large organizations is required.
