Job Description

Brooks Automation is a leading provider of automation solutions for the semiconductor industry. We are expanding our Greenfield manufacturing site in Malaysia and seek experienced Supplier Development Engineers to join our Sourcing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive supplier performance improvements : develop and implement strategies to optimize supplier processes, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality materials and components.
• Assess and select key commodity suppliers, conduct on‑site and off‑site assessments.
• Manage component and parts qualification processes.
• Lead Supplier Corrective / Preventive Action (SCAR, RCCA) and collaborate on CPK, Gauge R&R studies.
• Participate in Material Review Board activities and resolve non‑conformance issues.
• Establish supplier performance metrics, conduct audits, and provide feedback.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance supplier capabilities.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring reliability and consistency.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Procurement and Operations to align supplier capabilities with production needs.
• Continuously monitor performance, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
