About the role
The Marketing Manager leads brand strategy, portfolio development, consumer engagement, and innovation for the business in Malaysia. This role is responsible for strengthening brand equity, driving consumer demand, leading ATL and digital communication, and delivering long-term sustainable growth.
The position holds full responsibility for brand health, ATL / Digital excellence, portfolio strategy, pricing architecture, and NPD / Innovation.
Brand & Category Strategy
- Develop long-term brand strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Own brand positioning, value proposition, and portfolio architecture.
- Build annual brand plans including communications, innovation, and consumer programmes.
- Conduct competitor analysis and identify category opportunities.
Marketing Communications (ATL, Digital & Social)
Lead the development of all ATL campaigns, digital strategies, influencer programs, and PR.Manage creative, media, and digital agencies to deliver high-impact campaigns.Ensure consistency of brand messaging across all consumer touchpoints.Monitor campaign performance and optimise marketing ROI.Innovation and NPD Collaboration
Collaborate with Regional Marketing in the development of the innovation pipeline (NPD / EPD), providing local market insights and consumer needs.Support Regional teams on packaging development, claims review, format recommendations, and brand design through Malaysia-specific input.Work closely with Regulatory to ensure all proposed packaging, claims, and product communication meet local compliance requirements.Develop local go-to-market launch toolkits and activation plans in partnership with Sales and Trade Marketing.Portfolio & Pricing Management
Manage SKU portfolio including launches, rationalisation, and profitability optimisation.Develop pricing strategy and value ladder for each brand.Monitor category trends, consumer insights, and brand performance metrics.Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence
Lead consumer research, insight mining, and opportunity identification.Track brand equity, usage & attitude studies, and consumer behaviour trends.Translate insights into strong brand plans and marketing executions.Cross-functional & Operational Alignment
Partner with supply chain on forecasting for new launches and campaigns.Collaborate with regulatory to ensure accurate, compliant marketing content.Support Sales with brand decks, trade stories, and launch materials.Leadership & People Development
Build capability in brand strategy, insights, digital, creative evaluation, and innovation.Foster a culture of creativity, agility, and consumer centricity.About you
Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. MBA preferred.8–10+ years in Consumer Healthcare / FMCG marketing.Strong experience in brand management, ATL / digital, and innovation.Proven ability to grow brands, manage portfolio strategy and execute campaigns.Experience working with agencies and managing marketing budgets.Strong brand strategy and creative judgement.Excellent understanding of consumer behaviour and insightsStrong analytical and commercial mindsetLeadership, communication, and influencing capabilityHigh creativity, innovation mindset and attention to detail
