Process Excellence Execution Specialist (Malaysia, India)
Job Summary
The Process Excellence team partners across the organisation to raise process excellence awareness and capabilities within Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and develops / runs a dedicated training offering for relevant audiences. Key target audiences include PE practitioners and Business Analysts, with potential expansion to other stakeholder groups. The role is critical to driving SCB’s transformation agenda by enhancing technical capabilities, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement of quality, and equipping colleagues with best‑practice knowledge.
What will you do?
Collaborate with the PE team, S&T, HR Learning & Development, and external vendors to build and deliver a PE training programme that meets the needs of a diverse audience—primarily PE practitioners and Business Analysts. The role shares PE knowledge, offers a bespoke training curriculum, and works with stakeholder groups (ST HR, support partners, etc.) to ensure the programme is fit for purpose and delivers tangible value for the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and build a vision, capabilities, and implement the PE training programme for relevant personas within the Bank.
- Drive a culture where best practices, knowledge, and lessons learned are routinely captured, disseminated, and embedded in the Bank’s processes.
- Collaborate with the process excellence community, practitioners, and other groups to align the training offering with organisational needs, enhancing efficiency and consistency at the highest standards.
- Gather stakeholder and participant feedback, prioritise, and embed relevant capabilities across the organisation.
- Influence and inspire colleagues to adopt a transformation culture, pursue continuous improvement, and advance SCB’s transformation ambition.
- Work closely with HR, talent and learning teams to support learning and development initiatives.
- Champion the Group’s values and culture, leading by example to build the appropriate workplace culture.
- Set appropriate tone and expectations for the team and collaborate with partners to align efforts.
- Build a culture of process excellence, client and colleague centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement.
- Identify, assess, and monitor risks related to programme set‑up and execution, supporting control development and mitigation plans.

Minimum 8 years in project, programme or portfolio management, supporting or delivering mid‑large sized, complex initiatives.Solid understanding of SCB’s key processes and stakeholder groups.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate opportunities into roadmaps and actionable plans.Knowledge of SCB ways and process excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Zero‑Base Design).Proven execution track record in process excellence.Strong influencing and communication skills—oral, written, and presentation.Committed “can‑do” attitude, detail‑oriented and diligent.Growth mindset, eager to experiment and learn quickly.Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building across all levels of the organisation.Team player with multicultural awareness, able to work in a global service delivery model.Confidence and resilience to raise / escalate issues proactively and professionally.Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the Group’s core values.About Standard Chartered
