We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Assistant Accounts Manager / Accounts Manager to join our dynamic team. In the Assistant Accounts Manager / Accounts Manager role, you would be responsible for overseeing the finance team and managing all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with support from finance executive. Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving financial growth and supporting strategic decision making.
Responsibilities :
Financial Planning & Analysis :
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide insightful financial reports and recommendations to management.
Accounting Operations :
Handle full sets of accounts and responsible for month-end closing and other financial matters. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Responsible for the overall preparation of management and financial reports in compliance with management requirements including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statement.Assist in cash flow management by effectively allocating, planning and monitoring funds to ensure efficient cash flow.Prepare the necessary audit schedules, tax computations and tax estimates in compliance with relevant regulations.Collaborate with company secretary, auditors, bankers and tax agents pertaining to account and tax related matters.Compliance & Reporting :
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.Prepare and file all necessary tax returns and statutory reports.Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.Team Management :
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.Other Duties :
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA)At least 4 years of experiences with a proven track record in managing a full set of accounts in related fieldStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standardsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting) and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsProactive, detail-oriented, and results-drivenAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent time management and organizational skillsFluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
