Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Vekan Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Port Klang, Selangor. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our manufacturing processes and end products. Your expertise will be instrumental in upholding our high standards and driving continuous improvement across our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Assess new and existing suppliers to ensure their processes, products, and systems comply with IATF 16949 standards.
• Conduct supplier audits, including process and system audits, to verify compliance.
• Perform assessments for both local and overseas suppliers, including necessary travel as required.
• Develop supplier quality plans and conduct regular performance assessments.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, including PPM, DPPM, and delivery adherence.
• Lead supplier-related 8D reports and corrective action plans to address quality issues.
• Review and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.
• Implement risk management strategies, including process audits and control plans.
• Support other quality-related tasks in production and customer-related activities as required.
