Your day at NTT DATA
The Senior Manager, Credit and Collections is a senior management role, responsible for managing the development and implementation of policies, processes and procedures related to Credit and Collections.
This operates at a regional or divisional level within the organization and is responsible for overseeing directing and managing the activities of the team whilst fostering a collaborative and innovative culture focused on operational excellence.
Key responsibilities :
- Contributes to the development of policies and procedures for credit application processes and supervises the maintenance of credit for complex client accounts.
- Re-evaluates and recommends improvement for the credit and collections processes such as invoicing, follow up and query management.
- Ensures that sufficient information is obtained to assess the credit worthiness of new and existing clients.
- Ensures that the cash received from payments are correctly allocated.
- Coordinates the payments of creditors via electronic funds transfer and cheques.
- Works closely with the relevant internal stakeholders to pursue deficient balances and enforce the client’s contractual obligations, while minimizing company expenses.
- Deals with payment and all credit related queries received from clients.
- Supervises the collection of overdue accounts and ensures that clients are appropriately advised regarding their payment terms.
- Deals with escalated disrupted accounts and negotiates with clients ensuring the re-negotiation of payment plans.
- Leads, mentors, and develops the credit and collections team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
- Ensures cash flow by ensuring efficient collections and performing credit analysis, including the analysis of the relevant reports and financial statements to maximize profits.
- Ensures the distribution of all credit and collection related reports to the relevant forums.
- Directs the operational activities of the credit and collections team.
- Coordinates the operational tasks associated with credit applications and collections.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to engage with key clients in a professional and tactful manner.Demonstrates good negotiation and influencing abilityDisplays good problem solving and decision-making abilityExcellent understanding of credit analysis, collections processes, and risk assessment methodologies within the context of IT services and products.Excellent familiarity with credit reporting agencies and credit scoring models used in the IT industry.Ability to build a cohesive team and to manage people effectively.Ability to manage time effectively while setting the tone of the team through modelling and leadership.Ability to interact effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders by using their good collaboration and engagement skills.Proficiency in financial analysis tools, collections software, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality work.Academic qualifications and certifications :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Financial Accounting or Business Administration or related field.Required experience :
Extended experience in a Credit and Collections role, preferably within an information technology organization.Extended demonstrated experience leading and managing a Credit and Collections teamExtended experience in a Credit and Collections management role.Extended experience working with large corporate clients.Workplace type : On-site Working
