About the Team

This role will manage and execute high‑priority programs and projects that entail collaboration between Shopee and our holding company, Sea Group, via their Government Affairs (GA) team. It also covers other high‑priority Shopee‑led programs that may involve collaboration with strategic external partners. This role does not require any government‑related experience; relationship management with government stakeholders will purely be handled by Sea Group’s GA team. Instead, this role and team are distinctly focused on being the central team to manage these projects from an end‑to‑end perspective, i.e., from planning to execution.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Lead and manage key government‑related strategic projects from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with internal teams.
  • Act as the central point of contact for cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Public Relations, Business Development) to ensure smooth delivery of government projects.

Government Collaborations

  • Work with the GA team to secure meetings with relevant government stakeholders, pitch collaborative initiatives, and manage project execution.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for government partnerships, highlighting mutual benefits for all parties involved.

    • Event Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of government‑supported events, such as Shopee RAI Lokal and Shopee Superstar Awards, ensuring they align with Shopee’s strategic objectives.
  • Manage event logistics, branding, and communications, ensuring a cohesive message and strong government engagement.

    • Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government agencies, ensuring effective collaboration on ongoing and future initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and results.

    • Reporting & Analysis

  • Track and analyze the performance of government‑related projects, producing regular reports to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 3+ years of working experience.
  • Experience in dealing with project management, growth projects is an advantage.
  • No government experience is required (relationship management with government stakeholders will purely be handled by a separate team. This role and team is distinctly focused on being the central team to manage these projects from an end‑to‑end perspective, i.e., from planning to execution).

    • Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and assess project performance.
  • Strong organizational skillsets.
  • Proficiency in building presentation slides via Powerpoint / Google Slides and having basic Excel / Google Sheets.
