Overview
As a pioneer member of our newly established Penang Eye Centre, the Optometrist will play a key role in providing comprehensive eye care services and supporting the smooth operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and visual assessments.
- Conduct refraction tests and prescribe corrective lenses.
- Assist ophthalmologists in pre- and post-operative patient assessments.
- Manage and educate patients on eye health, contact lens care, and vision-related conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
- Calibrate and maintain optometric instruments and equipment.
- Support outreach or promotional activities related to eye health when required.
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient daily operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry from a recognised institution.Registered with the Malaysian Optical Council (MOC) with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).Preferably with 1–2 years of clinical experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).Good communication and interpersonal skills.Able to work independently and as part of a clinical team.Willing to be based in Penang and contribute as a pioneer team member of the new centre.Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
