The Position

Mechanical Supervisor, Ipoh Plant

Job Summary

To supervise and arrange service and maintenance for plant machinery and equipment including troubleshooting and correction.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Supervise and follow up on the service and maintenance work of the mechanical fitters
• Plan daily and weekly maintenance activities
• Instruct, coordinate, and plan manpower for maintenance work within the PM / Shutdown timeline
• Ensure all fabrication jobs are done within timeline with proper storage
• Keep proper records of work attendance, daily reports, equipment breakdowns, and spare parts purchases
• Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed at all times
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the maintenance workshop and workplace
• Ensure all hydraulic and pneumatic systems are in proper condition
• Ensure all plant equipment is in proper order based on MTBF / RF and UF
• Perform inspections for all plant equipment
• Summarize inspection findings and plan repair jobs
• Execute and close planned jobs from SAP job requests
• Implement all Enablon action plans as per safety protocol requirements
• Plan programs for plant shutdowns, minor, and major
• Communicate safety alerts, lessons learned, and incident sharing timely to the department
• Ensure employees and contractors are well trained for their tasks
• Be accountable for employees and contractors’ safety
• Intervene in unsafe behaviors at the site
• Encourage peer-to-peer safety observations among employees and contractors
• Ensure no leakage in air compressor and water pipeline systems
• Maintain oil storage and waste disposal rooms according to DOE standards
