Senior Engineer Automation Equipment Technology

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to manage project implementation and lead the development and implementation of smart manufacturing and lights out manufacturing automation systems for our production facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering, excellent problem-solving skills,and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and increase efficiency.

Job Description

In your new role you will :

• Project manage, develop and implement smart manufacturing and lightsout manufacturing automation systems, including Industrial Internet ofThings (IIoT) devices and sensors, robotic systems, machine vision, PLC,AI / ML, data analytics and visualization platforms, Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), automated guided vehicles (AGVs), etc.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop solutions to increase efficiency,reduce costs, and enhance product quality
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for smart manufacturing and lightsout manufacturing systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with automation systems,including debugging code and performing root cause analysis
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians in the design,development, and implementation of smart manufacturing and lightsout manufacturing projects
• Work closely with quality and safety teams to ensure that automation systems meet regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in smart manufacturing, manufacturing automation, and lightsout manufacturing, and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve manufacturing processes
