About the Role

As a Global Quality (GQ) Assembly & Test Central QA (ATCQA) Senior Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the A / T quality aspects of the assigned Micron site, incorporating external Manufacturing Subcontractor Component / Module / SSD Assembly sites. The position involves collaborating with various teams at Micron on engineering, quality and reliability aspects, as well as managing subcontractor quality deviations to improve performance. You will engage in routine evaluations of on‑site quality audits, site quality metrics, change management processes, and materials review board events that contribute to the performance metrics related to Assembly / Test line quality. You will carry out containment, recovery and prevention steps for target misses and verify site quality incidents at Micron.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Ensure compliance with Micron quality assurance standards and applicable government / industrial regulations.
• Manage and drive Global Material Review Board (GMRB) meetings and lead rescreening activities.
• Collaborate and review major 8Ds to identify root cause, containment and validate corrective actions and preventive actions.
• Analyze data for quality deviation lot disposition.
• Support customer and internal quality audits.
• Coordinate and participate in external manufacturing audits.
• Align external manufacturing (subcontract) to Micron quality systems and requirements.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality system (manual, supplier qualification process, supplier quality scorecards, SQN process, shift‑left quality programs).
• Understand site performance KPI and coordinate action plan for the HQ business process review and improvement discussions.
• Collaborate with Assembly and Test operations and engineering groups to review and approve change management processes.
• Regularly prepare and publish quality metric data.
• Report weekly and monthly quality metrics.
• Monitor usage and compliance with Micron standards, processes, methods & tools.
• Maintain site‑specific process artifacts if relevant.
• Demonstrate compliance with the relevant HQ process and procedures.
• Be aware of customer requirements as agreed, approved by the process owner and communicated in the BPR.
• Understand process risks and opportunities assessment and monitor treatments as required.
• Coordinate audit logistics under direction from the SLPO and SLPS.
• Support Micron and its external manufacturing sites in Malaysia in handling quality‑related events ranging from new product introduction to ramping to mass production.
• Engage closely with quality and reliability teams to ensure outgoing product quality.
