Facilities Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support equipment documentation for the ICAM project.
• Model safety and participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) to mitigate conditions affecting facility systems.
• Operate and maintain facility systems with a focus on electrical systems across various disciplines.
• Conduct facility system health assessments, including rounds & readings, critical parameter monitoring from FMS. Respond to facility excursions such as out‑of‑control, out‑of‑spec, equipment breakdown, and stakeholder escalation. Follow Respond Flow Checklist and apply judgement to contain issues while awaiting permanent solutions.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on a wide variety of electrical facility systems, including electrical distribution (up to 275 KV), emergency generators, switch gear, service entrance station, substation, uninterrupted power system, medium and low voltage breakers, motors, motor control centers, drives and starters.
• Assist facilities engineer and manager on data collection, system analysis and improvement execution. Proactively rectify issues and propose innovative solutions to address operational, reliability, cost, energy, bureaucracy process, and development opportunities.
• Support project execution activities. Attend daily Work Progress Review Board (WPRB) and Before Action Review (BAR) meetings to identify operational risk and advise construction on risk mitigation plans to be incorporated into pre‑task plan (PTP). Conduct pre‑work inspections to ensure PTP deployment before work is allowed and post‑work inspections to confirm all remains intact before handover.
