Overview
Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Center (NANOCAT), University of Malaya, invites applications for one (1) PhD position in the field of chemical catalysis under the research project " Photocatalysis for Environmental Remediation ".
The PhD project involves 2D materials design / synthesis in green chemistry advancement for energy efficiency & environmental sustainability. We are seeking passionate and dedicated researchers to join our team in developing innovative photocatalytic materials and processes for sustainable environmental applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop composite materials as photocatalyst
- Modify catalyst via doping, coupling or surface functionalization to strengthen charge separation and photon absorption
- Characterization photocatalyst such as band structure, transient absorption for charge transfer decay
- Reactive oxygen species and its related reaction mechanism characterization
Qualifications

Monthly allowance of RM 2,500 – RM 2,800 , depending on qualifications.
