The Head of Engineering is responsible for leading the engineering team, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that align with the organization's goals. The Head of Engineering will also play a key role in fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation within the engineering centre.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

• Develop and implement the engineering centre's vision, strategy, and goals in alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with senior management to define long-term engineering and product development strategies.

Budget and Resource Management

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

Experience : 10+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management position.

Technical Expertise : Strong technical background in (specific engineering domain, e.g., software, mechanical, electrical, etc.), with a deep understanding of engineering principles and methodologies.

Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, manage conflicts, and drive results.

Project Management : Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile, Scrum, or other methodologies.

Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Problem‑Solving : Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
