Job Scope :
- The Assistant Brand Manager will take ownership of our product portfolio, driving strategic growth through innovation, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration.
- This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our chocolate confectionery and cakes, ensuring that every product aligns with our brand values while meeting consumer demands and business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute product strategies that align with APOLLO brand vision and market growth objectivesIdentify new product opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences.Work closely with R&D and manufacturing teams to drive product innovation, from ideation to commercialization.2. Product Development & Lifecycle Management
Oversee the product lifecycle assigned, ensuring timely launches, portfolio optimization, and product enhancements.Manage product positioning, pricing strategies, and packaging to maximize market appeal and profitability.Ensure all products adhere to Apollo’s high standards of quality and consistency.3. Go-To-Market Execution
Lead cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, supply chain) to ensure seamless product launches and successful market entry.Collaborate with brand marketing to develop compelling campaigns, packaging designs, and promotional strategies.Align with sales teams to drive distribution, retail visibility, and trade marketing efforts.4. Performance Analysis & Optimization
Track product performance through sales data, consumer feedback, and market insights.Identify opportunities for optimization, whether through product reformulation, packaging improvements, or pricing adjustments.Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.5. Cross-Functional & Operational Support
Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and operational efficiency.Manage inventory planning, demand forecasting, and production alignment to avoid stock issues.Support procurement in sourcing high-quality ingredients and materials at optimal costs.Qualifications & Preferred Skills
1.Qualifications and Experience :
Candidate must possess at least Degree level or equivalent in Marketing.Minimum 4 years of product management experience in FMCG or Chocolate Confectionery industryProven track record of managing successful brand and marketing campaigns.Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply2.Technical Skills :
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).A good understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, as well as digital marketing, would be an added advantageFamiliarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is an advantage.3.Soft Skills :
Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Highly organized, proactive, attention to detail and capable of managing multiple projects within tight deadlines.4.Additional Attributes :
Passion for branding and innovation with a positive, can-do attitude.Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.Willingness to travel and conduct store or market visits when required.Time commitment
