Overview
Talent Acquisition at Vinda SEA | Plant Initiative Engineer. The role is responsible for the initiation and implementation of plant initiatives and projects, coordinating all products, material, and project-related activities for the plant. The person will ensure fast execution in innovation projects, cost-saving initiatives, and the creation of short / long-term action plans through collaboration with Product Development, Technology and Sourcing teams.
Location : Working Location : Vinda SEA HQ (Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, next to Setia Alam)
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, health, technical, economic, environmental, and legal norms are followed during the complete project.
- Execute project work activities according to the Quality & Environmental Management System and Safety & Health regulations (e.g., firefighting routines and hygiene guidelines).
- Secure knowledge transfer to the organization in relation to the project / initiative.
- Ensure machine standards (handbook) are up to date; work with the Process Engineer to update standards for new lines, equipment, and materials. Track standards linked to FWOC for material usage and consumption.
- Be responsible for machine FWOC; perform audits on material usage / consumption and prioritize analysis on machine financial waste.
- Identify and implement new technology improvements and conduct technology benchmarking between production lines, teams, and other plants.
- Participate in Daily Operation Meetings (DOM) and Work Order Meetings (WOM) when necessary.
- Support Business Unit members and Technical teams on improvements when there are Technology / Process / Quality issues.
- Actively participate in material rationalization and innovation; join monthly initiative meetings with information based on data / facts.
- Ensure effective communication across departments in projects / initiatives.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalentAt least 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG) / project managementGood knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)Good communication and interpersonal skills (ability to communicate with shop floor and top management)Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) & Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plusAbility to think logically and use facts and data to drive efficient discussionsListens to feedback and acts on it#J-18808-Ljbffr
