Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting functions, reporting directly to the CFO . This role is critical in providing accurate financial reporting, robust analysis, and strategic guidance to support the group's business objectives and ensure compliance within the property development and construction industries .
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with MFRS and local statutory requirements.
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic business decisions.
- Manage project-specific finance activities, including project financing, feasibility studies , and project cash flow management .
- Develop and implement strong internal controls and maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
- Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including bankers, auditors, and regulators .
- Lead, mentor, and manage a finance team to ensure high performance and productivity.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent) is highly advantageous.Experience : Minimum 6–8 years of working experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial / supervisory role . Proven experience within the property development and / or construction industry is mandatory.Technical Skills : Strong command of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations. Hands-on experience with construction project accounting , progress claims, and financial software (e.g., SQL, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).Core Competencies : Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and strategic thinking with a high level of integrity and attention to detail . Must be able to perform effectively under pressure.Employment details
