Job Summary
As an Opcenter Developer, you will lead the innovation and development of Molex’s Opcenter software solutions, collaborating with a cross‑functional team to design, code, and implement applications that enhance daily operations for Molex employees. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless integration, smooth operation, and continuous improvement of Opcenter applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT group and other departments to implement new applications and system changes.
- Analyze current system capabilities and recommend enhancements to improve software performance, maintainability, and user experience.
- Develop detailed technical specifications and program applications using relevant programming languages; communicate feasibility and propose improvements to management and system analysts.
- Conduct comprehensive functionality testing on new and updated applications to ensure desired outcomes, modifying programs as needed to optimize performance and effectiveness.
- Report progress, challenges, and direction of work assignments to management; cooperate with IT personnel to resolve issues.
- Document program logic, development processes, coding scripts, and corrections; assist in creating and maintaining user manuals.
- Monitor and support program performance post‑implementation, ensuring ongoing reliability and efficiency.
- Adhere to established IT development methodologies and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Assist in planning, executing, and documenting solution acceptance testing.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support IT and business goals.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience developing with Siemens Camstar / Opcenter technologies (Portal, Designer, CIO, MIO).At least 2 years of experience with development languages such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML / JSP, HTML5, XML, CSS, XSL, and SQL (including stored procedures and functions).Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.Familiarity with integration methodologies involving systems like SAP, Opcenter APS (Preactor), equipment controls, and metrology systems.Solid technical understanding of manufacturing technologies such as Controls / PLC, OPC, SCADA, historian systems, and Microsoft SQL Server.Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in advanced SQL scripting, including stored procedures, functions, tables, and views.Knowledge of Product Development Quality Assurance (PDQ) methodologies.Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with tools such as Jira and GitLab.Experience supporting manufacturing and IT solutions in a related environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and systematically complete assignments.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with co‑workers and external contacts, maintaining a positive approach to problem‑solving.Familiarity with the Mobility Framework Angular is a plus.Familiarity with Playwright auto test tool is a plus.Familiarity with the Telegraph, Prometheus, and Grafana is a plus.Company Information
