Senior Industrial Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Industrial Engineering (IE) professional to join our team in Rawang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of industrial engineering principles and practices to improve the efficiency and productivity of our operations.

What you'll be doing

Oversees the daily operations of IE and lead the IE team.

Train assembly team to assemble new IKA products.

Responsible for department manpower and budget planning.

Represent manufacturing aspects in development projects to ensure a smooth introduction of products ready for series production.

Responsible for controlling time spent in production process steps and improving productivity by refining work instructions, test plans and creating device-specific work instructions.

Handle and manage quality deviations within the responsible product groups and provide solutions to issues.

Responsible for the implementation of engineering changes for the responsible product group.

Responsible for planning and creating a proper process of manufacturing, assembly and testing as well as related equipment and tools to improve productivity and reduce quality issues.

Support subsidiaries with device-specific IE topics.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Min 5 - 7 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• 2 years of team leadership experience
• Good communication skills in English and Malay
• Strong knowledge of production safety and proven record in training employees about safety
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve problems quickly
• Ability to work under high pressure and independently
• Familiar with SAP software
