Job Overview
As an Automation Specialist, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems to streamline administrative, academic, and operational workflows. You\'ll support staff adoption, optimize efficiency, and enhance the user experience within our school ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI-driven automation solutions across departments (e.g., marketing, operations, finance, academics).
- Collaborate with IT, admissions, academics, and finance teams to identify and automate repetitive workflows like student admissions processing, report generation, attendance tracking, scheduling systems, and data integration between platforms (e.g., SIS, CRM, LMS).
- Use tools like Python, RPA (UiPath, Power Automate), Zapier, Make.com, n8n, or custom APIs to streamline business processes.
- Integrate AI models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Claude, Gemini) into existing workflows to boost efficiency and decision-making.
- Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve deployed automation pipelines.
- Train and support internal teams in the adoption of AI tools and no-code / low-code solutions.
- Create clear documentation on automation processes; develop user guides and train school staff to drive adoption and best practices.
- Analyze workflows, capture feedback, and iterate on automation tools to ensure they remain effective and scalable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.3+ years of experience in automation, scripting, and AI tool integration.Hands-on knowledge of AI / ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, AWS AI services).Experience with RPA platforms and no-code tools (e.g., Make, Zapier, Power Automate).Familiarity with API integration, workflow design, and cloud services.Experience with LLM fine-tuning or prompt engineering.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Seniority level
