Application Support

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native AWS solutions and expertise in Oracle / PL-SQL technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting business-critical applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and functional stability. This role is distinct from technical infrastructure support and is focused on application-level issue resolution, monitoring, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide L2 / L3 level application support for cloud-hosted (AWS) business applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance issues in a cloud-native environment.

Perform PL / SQL querying, data analysis, and issue debugging in Oracle databases.

Monitor application health, logs, and metrics using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, or other tools.

Engage in incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance.

Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams for issue resolution and environment stability.

Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge base articles, and runbooks.

Participate in release and deployment processes, ensuring minimal disruption to live systems.

Ensure compliance with SLAs and deliver high-quality customer experience.

Be available for on-call support as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

3+ years of hands-on experience in Application Support (not infra / technical support).

Proven experience working in AWS cloud-native environments (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).

Strong skills in Oracle databases, including PL / SQL querying and performance tuning.

Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).

Basic understanding of DevOps and CI / CD pipelines is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) is a plus.

Experience with ITIL processes or similar support frameworks.

Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation is advantageous.
