This is a 6-month maternity cover role.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and support the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), month-end close, and year-end audit activities.
• Allocate responsibilities effectively to balance workloads across the team and maintain high performance standards in all accounting practices.
• Drive resource optimisation and propose improvements to processes and systems, specifically IFS and Sigma, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Group Accounting Standards, ensuring the integrity of financial reports with no material audit misstatements.
• Review and validate monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, guaranteeing timely and accurate reporting across all entities.
• Coordinate with Group Finance and external auditors to meet all reporting deadlines, including the review of financial statements and satisfying auditors’ requests efficiently.
• Ensure that team members acquire adequate training in accounting standards and systems to promote professional development and performance.
• Support capital injection processes and ensure liquidity at the entity level to maintain operational effectiveness.
• Handle ad hoc requests and provide support across the finance function, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist.
