This leadership role reports to the Board Risk Management Committee
Job Role : To lead Risk Management function of the digital Islamic Bank
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise governance frameworks, standards and practices relating to risk governance and effectively implement them throughout the Organisation
- Establish a strong risk awareness culture throughout the Organisation
- Strong knowledge of Risk Management regulations, standards and industry best practice
- Independently manage the Risk Governance function of the organisation which includes implement, update, review and recommend, covering multiple risk domain of the Organisation and in line with regulatory requirements
- Specific knowledge on application of Risk Management in retail & small business, and
- Lead the conduct of review of Management reporting, for credit, market, operational, Shariah, technological and strategic risks
- Oversee the preparation, review and maintenance of Risk Management Policies with the relevant risk management tools. Ensure policies and procedures are updated or drafted as per regulatory requirements.
- Act as an advisor on risk related matters to internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and related risks, industry trends, and regulatory requirements relating to technology, information & cyber security
- Strong knowledge in the Bank Negara Malaysia regulatory framework for capital adequacy and liquidity, specifically for licensed Financial Institutions regulated under the Islamic Financial Services Act 2013
- Establish risk management process for Treasury operations and risk limits based on net open position, exposure limits, stop loss limits; Have strong knowledge and experience in conducting stress testing exercise
- Perform periodic market conduct risk assessment for the bank
- Business Continuity Management Coordinator to ensure that Business Continuity Management Policy & Operations Manual and Business Continuity Plans are maintained and updated periodically complying to regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Min Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an established universityMinimum 15 years experience in banking & finance industry, must have experience in consumer banking or small business segment, having experience in Islamic banking is a strong advantageHighly organised and has keen attention to details, analytical and meticulous in financial figuresHighly driven, self-motivated and able to work under-pressure. Has strong problem-solving skills, resourceful in obtaining information and using tools to support day-to-day work and able to exercise good judgementGood interpersonal and communication skillsSeniority level : Director
