Designer

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil, gas, and energy sectors, with 3 years experience as designer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and basic knowledge in 3D software (e.g. E3D, SP3D etc.).
• Strong proficiency in developing instrument drawings such as loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument layouts, and cable schedules.
• Strong understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and the ability to produce markup drawings based on P&IDs.
• Basic understanding of instrument design selection criteria and its application in engineering design.
• Good understanding of Quality Management System per ISO 9001 and familiarity with work procedures and filing systems used in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High teamwork spirit with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to provide clear instructions and guidance to drafters while following directions from senior designers and senior engineers.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia for writing and verbal communication.
