Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Technical Support Engineer Our client is a leading bank with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries. The Technology and Operations function comprises five teams : business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. The team develops, centralises, and standardises technology systems and banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches. The client has a long history in banking and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Provide L3 production support for Core Banking Investment & Wealth Advisory applications.
Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues within agreed SLAs.
Collaborate with business teams to address functional queries in Wealth Management & Advisory workflows.
Support application deployment, change management, and patch upgrades using DevOps tools and practices.
Monitor and ensure stability of applications across multiple client segments.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
Document issue resolutions, workarounds, and functional / technical SOPs.
Partner with L2, development, and business analysts to deliver seamless support.
Mandatory Skills / Qualifications
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices
Strong understanding of Wealth Management & Advisory domain
Client segment-based solutions (Retail, HNIs, UHNI, Institutional)
Experience in .NET and SQL-based applications
Knowledge of MS-SQL database management (not DBA level)
