Sales Engineer

Quartzelec is a leading UK independent electrical engineering group delivering design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and service solutions to customers across a broad range of industrial and commercial sectors.

Reporting to theBusiness Manager we are now looking to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer at our site in Malaysia.

You’ll be part of a dynamic major programme team, managing the scope on contracts.

Key Responsibilities+ Accountability

• Develop and review sales plans aligned with business objectives
• Efficiently manage sales operations within the assigned territory
• Take responsibility for allocated Key Accounts
• Drive sales growth within the existing customer base
• Maintain a Gross Margin of 21% over the entire financial year
• Achieve monthly order targets consistent with profit and loss (P&L) expectations
• Meet sales targets in alignment with P&L metrics
• Ensure invoicing aligns with P&L goals
• Actively participate in debt recovery efforts to prevent accruals from headquarters
• Identify and develop sales opportunities in new sectors
• Compile and present comprehensive sales reports
• Develop and submit detailed tenders for specified works in a timely manner, adhering to customer deadlines
• Prepare quotations as needed
• Maintain and update the internal CRM system with accurate information promptly
• Update the Quote Register with relevant information as required
• Undertake any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by the Operations Manager in accordance with the position

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

We invite applications from individuals who possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant qualification within the Electrical / Electronic discipline. Candidates with demonstrable industry experience in partial discharge will also be considered

Ability to perform effectively under pressure an adhere to strict deadlines
