Position Summary
We are looking for a Product Owner (Software) who will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of our GRC software solutions. This role is a hybrid between a product owner and a business analyst, requiring a strong focus on understanding user needs, managing product backlogs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting both internal development and external customer engagements.
The ideal candidate will be proactive in managing the software lifecycle, gathering user feedback, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and supporting business development efforts including the preparation of proposals, customer presentations and product demos.
Key Responsibilities Product Ownership & Backlog Management
- Own and manage the product backlog, defining and prioritizing user stories, features, and enhancements that deliver maximum value.
- Translate business and customer requirements into clear functional and technical specifications with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of product features aligned to customer needs and business objectives.
Requirements Gathering & Solution Design
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including current and potential customers, to gather, analyze, and validate product requirements.Proactively propose solutions to customer pain points, business challenges, and enhancement requests.Collaborate with developers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with user requirements.Customer Engagement & Feedback Management
Communicate directly with customers to understand their requirements, provide product guidance, and obtain feedback on current and proposed solutions.Support end users with product adoption and provide post-implementation follow-up to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement.Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with customers and translate their evolving needs into actionable product features.Quality Assurance & Documentation
Develop and execute test plans to ensure product quality, performance, and reliability.Document product features, processes, user manuals, and testing procedures.Work closely with the team to identify, report, and follow through on issue resolution.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with developers, project managers, subject matter experts and sales teams to align product development with company objectives and customer expectations.Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and product demos.Business Development Support
Assist in preparing technical proposals, product write-ups, and solution overviews for tenders, RFPs, and customer presentations.Participate in client meetings and pre-sales discussions to understand potential customer needs and propose appropriate software solutions.Requirements
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Experience :
At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or a similar role in software development projects.Familiarity with GRC concepts and practices is not required but candidates must be eager to learn and understand end user requirements in relation to GRC concepts.Experience working with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).Skills :
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical software solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfortable working directly with customers to understand pain points, propose solutions, and manage expectations.Ability to prioritize work effectively, manage multiple ongoing initiatives, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.Preferred :
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.Experience with proposal development, responding to tenders, and client-facing solution presentations.
