We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company's accounting, HR, administrative, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a broad scope of responsibilities in a fast-paced startup environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Prepare and issue invoices, process payments, and manage cash flow.
- Perform full set of accounts, including AP / AR reconciliation, budgeting, financial statements, and reporting.
- Handle accounts for both active and dormant / holding companies.
- Implement cash monitoring controls to prevent theft and unauthorized use.
- Manage bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
- Ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures
- Helping businesses make critical financial decisions
- Assisting with tax reporting and filing
- Providing strategic financial advice
Human Resources
Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and recruitment.Maintain compliance with statutory requirementsSupport staff-related matters such as leave management, employment agreements, and statutory submissions.Administration & Operations
Implement and streamline workflows and processes for a growing startup.Provide administrative and personal assistant support to management when requiredHandle ad-hoc government and regulatory submissions.Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field.At least 2–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, and HR functions.Strong knowledge of Malaysian statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, EIS, etc.).Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Experience in a startup environment is an added advantage.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese (Mandarin is a must).Benefits
